An Apology....

....to my garden. We promised to do better this year. We were going to buy our plants early, till, fertilize, weed & feed, and reap the rewards. So it may have been June by the time we planted, but it started off great.... Now that we've reached October, the results of our 2010 attempt is evident.

Can you find the garden among the weeds?

I think the tomatoes are.....done. But they were well worth the wade through the weeds to pick some yummy tomatoes a couple months ago.


A single pumpkin actually grew! But it was supposed to be a JUMBO sized pumpkin.

Now, in our defense, we did have a good reason to be so busy this year.....

And even Emma shows some concern about the garden.

Maybe she'll feel better when we carve out a pumpkin. Now why is our pumpkin so much more...orange (ok, maybe almost red)...than the two that our neighbor gave us??? Were we supposed to find and pick it sooner than...err....the end of October?

So here's our early New Year's resolution....again...that we will do better next year! And if that doesn't happen, well, maybe we'll find some more time when we're retired. =)
