Moving Along

Here is another quarterly update!  We've moved from summer into fall, and I'm staying busy and incapable of keeping up with everything!  The girls are growing like weeds; Shelby is 10 months old, and Emma has started 3-year-old preschool.  I switched the girls to a different daycare this summer, for many reasons, but the new daycare has the young preschool program.  I almost didn't enroll Emma because I wasn't sure how she would adjust, but she loves the new daycare, and she especially loves preschool! She has learned so much already, I'm so happy we did it.

 

Shelby refuses to crawl, but she has just figured out how to do this little scooting move so she can get to a place to pull herself up onto her feet.  I think this one wants to skip straight to walking.  After having Emma who didn't bother to walk until she was almost 18 months....I realize how spoiled I was!

Shelby is loving her food!  She prefers to feed herself, so dinner is always a fun experience with this goober.

 We took the girls to Jollay Orchards in Coloma, MI.  It has a playground area, fishing pond, corn maze, and of course---apple picking!  I didn't grab too many pictures, but here are a few until we got lost in picking and eating apples!

 I wish this picture had turned out better--it's Shelby's classic cheesy smile, and Emma said they were playing tea time.  I don't know what they were doing besides making a mess in their room, but it was so cute! I love how they interact, giggle, and play.

I'm officially signed up for the conference in Indianapolis in November.  We'll be driving down Tuesday, November 5th, and then we come back on Friday, November 8th.  I'll be at the Sheraton Hotel--I believe in the downtown area, so maybe I'll be able to see some of you?  Of course, I'm also not the person who will be driving down...so we'll see how it goes.
