We found out that Emma will have a little sister! It's what Emma really wanted. =) She would make a face when we asked if she'd want a brother. Lucky for us since Emma will be sharing her room. And baby looks healthy and right on target for our December 3 due date. Andrew posted all of our ultrasound pics on FB, but here are the few of her sucking her thumb. It was so fun to see that! But she was moving around so much...first the tech said girl, then the doctor said boy, and then they finally got a really good view and said definitely girl. Now we just need names....I'm clueless, so I'd welcome any ideas otherwise Daddy will get to pick whatever he wants! Emma came to me so easily, and this time I'm drawing a blank.

And I feel like she's growing up so fast..and her stubborn streak is also growing! Though she likes to be attached at the hip to me, she also tries to be more independent. She sometimes wants to go potty by herself---which she can at least do with her smaller potty, though I still insist on helping. She'll have her pants and underwear down and OFF in the family room and then walk to the bathroom. Then she'll tell us, "go away" and wave us off. Lately she's been trying to stand up and go potty, and I'm trying to explain to her that boys stand up and girls sit down! Thanks, daycare!
We've been spending our weekends trying to find things to do in this heat---we've been to the beach quite a few times, and we went to the Grand Rapids zoo one weekend. And I've been horrible about pictures. Emma loves the beach--except for the water--but when she's done, she makes us get off the towels so that she can fold them up and stuff them in the bag to leave. I just love all of her little personality traits that are coming out now. She's always surprising us, especially with the words she knows, and what she understands. I hope she'll be happy with her little sister!

ReplyDeleteWhat about Elizabeth? ;) LOL, Emma was the name I had in mind if this one was a girl...I thought it would be cute to have matching "E" names. Hope you are feeling well- I love checking your banner to count down the days left! We are in the double digits!
